About this Cube:
This Cube was inspired by a simple 3D experiment by Paul Hayes in 2009. He suggests it being a navigational tool, but I believe it has potential which goes way beyond that. Admittedly, this example is a bit pretentious and purposely meant to demonstrate technical prowess. It has been created in contemporary HTML5 using CSS3. Javascript and jQuery appropriately control triggering of actions and environment differences. The cube is initially created in a static sense through a CMS of my design written in PHP, but most of the contents are rendered dynamically through Ajax to a PHP backend which generates the SQL programmatically, returning JSON. The current database in this case is Sqlite3, appropriate for the scope of the project and speed, but MySQL is a configuration choice. My CMS called "vc" is PHP based, and uses a graphic CSS3 editor.
